Do I enjoyed reading Keoko in class?

I really enjoyed reading "When my name was Keoko", and especially with my LA class. We had done a lot of fun activities while reading the novel like visulaizing, questioning, and connecting. Sometime, Ms.Patrice connect an events in the novel with her real life experience and make us laugh, also it help us undestand the stragetries and get a better idea of how to do it. I remembered the time when we studied about questioning in class, Ms.Patrice make a lot questions and she said it out loud. The connection that Ms.Patrice gave are very hilarious, for example the part Keoko fist ty gum. Ms.Patrice connect it with a little boy in Miama who recieved the first gum of his life from Ms.Patrice.:) I enjoyed reading with the whole class, it is very fun and also it help me undestand the lesson better with help from every friends.

Visualize

This week, our LA 7 class is learning about using the stragetry visualize with the novel " When my name was Keoko". I tried to visualize during the whole story, but I can only imagine some of them clearly. I visualize the expression of Tae-yul changed through events. Like how happy and nervous is him when he flew the airplane. Then, how sad he felt when the recieve the news he will be a...kamekazi pilot. Visualizing is a very interesting stragetries to do and it help me to understand the novel a lot better.

Bad news

One of the bad news I ever get is when my dog die suddenly. I was on my vacation with my family in Singapore, I recieved a called from my grandma said that my dog was dead.My whole family were shock and extremely sad especially me. We had bought a lot of gifts for our dog, but unluckly, she died before we could give her the gifts. We bought new tickets and fly home immidiately. When we arrived at our house, our dog was alreaady been burried, and we didn't get to see her the last time. This is not an extreme bad news, but it is bad enough to turn my vacation from the feeling of joy into the feeling of missing something important of your life.

When my name was Keoko

Q:Why do you think Onishi-San showed the student the film?

A:Onishi-San tries to give the students a bad image about the Americans. He stereo the Americans as cowboys, babies and women killers, and killing black-haired people. He want the students to think that Americans are cruel and they must die. Japanese use this way to make the Korean agree with the war and think it is a right things to do.

Q:What is Tae-yul fascinated with?

A: Tae-yul is fascinated with mechanical stuffs. Some examples: He spend time fixing bikes with Uncle, and he was amazed by the airplane. When Tae-yul saw the airplane flying above his head, he seem to forget everything around him. He was wondering about the airplane engine and how it's feel like to be on there. That prove Tae-yul is a "fan" of mechanical stuff.

Book I read

Book I read

I’m reading a new book call Matilda. This book is written by author name Roald Dahl, one of my favorite authors. This book is about a young and genius girl name Matilda. Why is she a genius? Because she can reads novels at the age of four. Matilda’s favorite hobby is reading, she likes to pay a visit to the library every week to borrow books. You think her parent will be proud of Matilda right? You are totally wrong. Her parent seem to hate her brilliance, they call her stupid, annoying and disgusting. Matilda can’t get along with her parent and friends. She read, read, read, and read. I don’t know if she will get along with her parent or get a friend. I will tell you the answer as soon as I finish the book.
